Department offers help on pesticides
Salma added that enforcement was carried out under the Pesticides Act 1974 to ensure that pesticides are effectively managed in line with the requirements of sustainable development by taking into account the aspects of human safety and the well-being of the environment.
Kota Kinabalu: The Department of Agriculture Malaysia is ready to provide technical advice and agricultural extension services related to pesticides to all target groups in Sabah.

Its Chief Assistant Director Salmah Labulla said among the objectives of the LRMP e-License is to automate the operational processes of licensing ARMP 1974; develop integrated and updated pesticide licensing information for effective monitoring purposes.

The LRMP e-License system provides six main modules namely e-Premises (RMP Sales & Storage License For Sale), e-HTP (Restricted Pesticide Purchase Authorization Permit or RMPT), e-Factory (RMP Manufacturing License), e- PCO (Pesticide Control Operator License), e-Import (Product Import Permit/RMP Materials) and i-Training (Self-Learning Materials/ Learning Management System or LMS).

There are seven types of online services offered through the LRMP e-License platform, namely: Sales and Storage Licenses for the Sale of Pesticides; Pesticide Manufacturing License; Pest Control Operator License, Pesticide Applicator License, Pesticide Assistant License and Examination; Limited Pesticide Purchase Permit/Authorization Letter; Permit/Inquiry Letter for Active Substances/Pesticide Products; Pesticide Licensing Courses & Self-Learning Materials; and Complaints & Assistance, Online Payments.
