NHL Outdoors at Lake Tahoe: Time, channel, how to stream Philadelphia Flyers vs. Boston Bruins

The NHL had a picturesque setting for its outdoor games on the shores of Lake Tahoe, but the weather didn't cooperate and forced an in-game delay of Saturday's opener between the Vegas Golden Knights and Colorado Avalanche.

Bright sunshine caused glare and poor ice conditions during the first period, and Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog told NBC that "some spots of the ice were a little slushy."

Play resumed past midnight on the East Coast, and puck drop has been moved around twice now for Sunday's Philadelphia Flyers-Boston Bruins game.

"We've done over 30 (outdoor) games and we've never had a problem quite like this," Commissioner Gary Bettman told NBC. "We've had some rain. We've had some snow, but sunshine has always been our enemy."

Where things now stand:

What is the new time for the Philadelphia Flyers vs. Boston Bruins game?

Sunday's game was shifted from 2 p.m. ET to 7:30 p.m. ET and will also be shown on NBCSN. The second game had been moved up an hour because of predictions of bright sunshine during the game. But now it will begin in late afternoon local time. To make up for the open time slot Sunday afternoon on NBC, the New Jersey Devils-Washington Capitals game will now start at 2 p.m. ET

How can you stream the outdoor games?

The two games can be streamed on NBC Sports.

Who are the NBC announcers?

Mike Tirico (play-by-play), Eddie Olczyk (analyst), Brian Boucher (‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst) and Rutledge Wood (on-site reporter in Lake Tahoe).

What is the weather report at the new game time?

It will be 38 degrees and mostly sunny at 4:30 p.m. PT.

Has this happened before?

There have been decisions made before game time to change start times. The 2011 Winter Classic (Capitals vs. Pittsburgh Penguins at Heinz Field) was pushed back several hours because of rain and the 2012 Winter Classic (Flyers vs. New York Rangers at Citizens Bank Park) was delayed due to the sun glare. At least two other games were also delayed due to glare, and the league has switched sides in middle of the third period because of weather conditions.

What are the teams' outdoor records?

The Bruins beat the Flyers 2-1 in overtime at the 2010 Winter Classic in Boston's Fenway Park.
