Leafs acquire Tomas Plekanec, Kyle Baun in trade with Montreal Canadiens

The Toronto Maple Leafs have acquired forwards Tomas Plekanec and Kyle Baun from the Montreal Canadiens to bolster their Stanley Cup playoff hopes.

The Maple Leafs sent defenceman Rinat Valiev, forward Kerby Rychel — both prospects with the Marlies — and Toronto’s second round draft pick in 2018 to Montreal.
