Emmerdale has released a brand new image ahead of Robert Sugden and Aaron Dingle's reunion scenes in tonight's hour-long special.

Fans are gearing up for the big episode which will see the popular pair drawn back to each other at last, after months apart.

The ITV soap have been sharing a number of Robron spoiler pictures recently – but this one will have particular significance due to its location.

Tonight's heartwarming scenes will see the on-off couple find themselves back at the garage – the place they tied the knot on the same day last year.

We already know that Aaron will dump his current boyfriend Alex Mason in tonight's 60-minute special, after accepting that his heart really belongs with Robert.

Aaron has tried his best to move on with his life by dating Alex, but he finally faces up to reality when it seems that Robert is about to get a new love interest of his own.

After following Robert to a gay bar, Aaron decides that honesty is the best policy, having just seen Robert taking a phone number from another guy.

Viewers will have to wait and see how exactly their reunion unfolds – and what brings them both to the garage – but the episode is certainly not one to be missed. Not long to go now...

Emmerdale will air these scenes in an hour-long special tonight at 7pm on ITV.
