DENVER — The Avalanche on Sunday recalled forwards Gabriel Bourque and A.J. Greer from its American Hockey League affiliate in San Antonio. Bourque and Greer will replace injured forwards J.T. Compher and Tyson Jost, who both went down in Thursday’s 4-3 loss to the St. Louis Blues.

Compher is out an estimated three weeks with a broken thumb. His injury does not require surgery. Jost will miss 2-3 weeks with a lower-body injury.

Bourque, 26, has played in all five games for the Rampage, and has produced two points (goal). Greer, 20, has two assists in two games with San Antonio. He sustained a concussion during an Avalanche preseason game and began the season on injured reserve.

Bourque and Greer will practice with the Avs on Monday. Colorado hosts the Dallas Stars on Tuesday, looking to snap a three-game losing streak.
